Looking to make a difference in the net-zero carbon industry? We have an exciting opportunity for a Carbon Initiative Manager to join a progressive company in Cornwall.

As the Carbon Initiative Manager, you will lead and coordinate home energy efficiency and housing carbon zero and retrofit projects. You’ll work closely with Cornwall Council and other housing providers to develop innovative projects and programs that improve a range of housing types, from social to private rentals.

Your role will involve being the lead officer on all carbon neutral and retrofit matters, contributing to the development and delivery of a new Sustainability Plan and carbon neutral strategy, developing a long-term energy efficiency strategy for current and new housing stock, and managing a program of projects using the latest technology to reduce fuel poverty for customers.

The ideal candidate will have a degree-level qualification or equivalent demonstrable work-related experience in developing and delivering large-scale home energy efficiency programs, writing tender specifications, and leading procurement for home energy efficiency programs. You should also have proven experience and knowledge of procurement methods for home improvement/energy efficiency programs, contract management, and delivery solutions.

We offer a salary of up to £52k- 37 working hours, hybrid working from home and our Bodmin office, and an employee benefits package that includes a generous pension scheme with employer contribution, employee discount scheme and wellbeing events, holiday starting at 23 days and increasing to 28 with service (pro-rata if part-time) with option to purchase additional, plus bank holidays, cycle to work scheme, sick pay, flexible working hours & home working options, investment and support in your continuous training and development.
