Not many local businesses can boast the kind of growth our new client has seen over the past year. Their sales have been largely unaffected by the pandemic during 2020 and have seen unprecedented growth into the first quarter of 2021. They have ambitious expansion plans which will be coming to fruition later this year and this role has come about as a result of their continuing successes.

TalentTide have been assigned exclusively to assist in the recruitment of a new Finance Assistant to join their busy, friendly finance team based in Newquay. There are several different aspects to the business from manufacturing to warehousing and distribution to sales and you will be part of the team that has a bird’s eye view over everything.

Their new Finance Assistant will be recruited on a full time and permanent basis and will assist in all areas of accounts. Working closely with the Finance Manager the main duties will include General Postings, Purchase Ledgers and Sales Ledger. Fundamentally the nuts and bolts that are needed by every finance team in order to keep the department running smoothly.

You should have excellent IT skills including Excel and experience of using a computerised accounting system but with a new accounting system on the horizon my client has no preference on which systems you’ve used in the past.

Ideally my client would like someone who is nearing the end of their AAT qualification or is already qualified although he is also keen to see candidates who consider themselves to be qualified by their experience to Technician level.
