Site Based – Falmouth

Monday – Friday

An excellent new opportunity has arisen for a MECHATRONICS ENGINEER to join an award-winning manufacturing business based in the Falmouth area. The successful candidate will be joining a small engineering team, developing and refining a new, unique composites manufacturing tools, new product concepts and prototypes. The roles and responsibilities of this role include:

  • Design and modelling along with enhancing mechatronic equipment and electro- mechanical systems
  • Designing control algorithms to satisfy system requirements
  • Specifying functionally appropriate system components
  • Collaborating on system architecture design (hardware and software)
  • Identifying any faults or weakness in the finished product and production line and implementing recommendations for improvement
  • Designing and implementing real-time and/or embedded software according to systems requirements
  • Evaluating the performance of prototype devices
  • Working collaboratively with other team members with expertise in other engineering disciplines.

The Person

  • A degree level education or alternate qualification equivalent in a relevant discipline (Electrical/Mechanical/fitter/)
  • PLC & HMI Programming experience
  • Experience working with Motion control devices (servo motors and actuators)
  • Experience of robot motion would be beneficial
  • Working understanding of industrial electrical control equipment
  • Ability to be a self-starter and work in a team
  • Passion for Design and Engineering

 

Our ideal candidate will have a degree level qualification in a relevant subject, several years of experience in automated machinery, with a focus on design, control and testing electro- mechanical systems and mechatronic devices.
