What’s involved?

You will be handling purchases throughout the business from stock ordering, supply forecasting to departmental spending. You’ll need to be able to multitask and evaluate products and vendors whilst having a keen eye for numbers. The business is in the process of implementing lean manufacturing principles and therefore experience working with purchasing and planning systems, including Kanban and 5S is essential.

You will sourcing materials, goods, products and services and will use your negotiating skills to get the most cost-effective contracts. Also, you will need excellent customer service skills as you will be managing relationships with suppliers and also work closely with the warehouse team.

It’s a bonus if you are CIPD qualified!
