Reporting to: Manufacturing Operations Manager

Hours of Work: 37.5 Hours per Week

Salary: £45k- £51k DOE

Job Summary:

As a Quality Manager, your mission is to steer the Quality Manufacturing Engineering team towards continuous improvement. Dive into the heart of the Electronics sector, managing quality issues, and championing product and component excellence.

Key Duties:

  • Lead the Quality team, driving a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Review, maintain, and update Quality management systems.
  • Collaborate with R&D on New Product Introduction, ensuring quality is at the forefront.
  • Produce documentation supporting manufacturing quality.
  • Visit Audiotonix and off-shore manufacturing facilities as needed.
  • Lead quality initiatives for products and components.
  • Liaise with Customer Support on product failures, researching trends.
  • Engage relevant departments and project-manage investigations.
  • Liaise and visit suppliers, ensuring quality standards.

Person Specification:

Quality Manager


  • Degree/HND in Manufacturing, Electronics, or a relevant discipline. (Essential)


  • Proven experience as a Quality Manager.
  • Previous experience in production or manufacturing.
  • In-depth knowledge of quality control procedures.
  • Worked within the electronics industry.
  • Exposure to the Audio industry.
  • Quality and process engineering experience. (All Essential/Desirable)


  • Data analysis skills.
  • Ability to prioritise workload and that of others.
  • Initiative to make decisions independently.
  • Strong communicator across all organisational levels.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Logical thinker with problem-solving skills.
  • Effective time management for target achievement. (All Essential)


  • Good interpersonal skills.
  • Flexibility to changing business demands. (Essential)

Other Requirements:

  • Availability for occasional weekends and flexible working hours.
  • Global travel readiness for business requirements, including weekends.
  • Ability to organise and manage travel arrangements independently.
  • Good IT skills.
  • Effective verbal and written communication. (Essential)
